Profile
A paleobiologist specializing in the study of echinoderms, both fossil and extant. He conducts interdisciplinary research projects at the intersection of paleontology, biology, and ecology, carried out in Poland and in many regions around the world. In his work, he uses modern analytical methods and comparative approaches to better understand the evolution and functioning of marine organisms in past ecosystems and contemporary marine environments. Currently, Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs at the Institute of Paleobiology, Polish Academy of Sciences.
Research area: functional morphology, biomineralization, paleobiology, evolution, (paleo)ecology and (paleo)biology of echinoderms.
