Profile
A geologist specializing in sedimentology, with research focused on reconstructing shallow-marine and terrestrial depositional environments. She conducts field studies both in Poland and in various regions of the world, including Vietnam. For many years, she has been actively involved in the establishment and development of the Polish–Vietnamese Tropical Research Centre, one of whose main objectives is the study of contemporary coral reef systems along the Vietnamese coast. She is affiliated with the Institute of Geological Sciences, Polish Academy of Sciences, and the Biological and Chemical Research Centre of the University of Warsaw.
Research area: sedimentology, depositional environments of clastic and mixed siliciclastic–carbonate rocks, terrestrial and shallow-marine sedimentary systems, tectonic controls on the development of sedimentary basins, sedimentary basin architecture.
