GeoPlanet – Earth and Planetary Research Centre is a consortium of five institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences:

The chairman of GeoPlanet is Prof. Paweł Rowinski, the director of the Institute of Geophysics PAS.
Our mission
The GeoPlanet Centre was established to integrate Polish research on the physical and chemical processes occurring on the Earth, its environment and the Solar System, and to strengthen the research potential as well as the scientific and economic development.
Geological, seismic, atmospheric, hydrological, polar, astrophysical and planetary research conducted at the GeoPlanet Centre interpenetrate each other and create a new quality in Polish sciences.
The GeoPlanet activity is focused on the acquisition and coordination of the research projects on the national and European scale Our scientists are able to carry out extensive research in the field of geology, geophysics, oceanology, planetology and astrophysics. The important element in the Centre’s activity is dissemination of science among society.
